Cat’s Cleaning Tips ~ Grout Cleaning
If you have tile grout in your home, chances are it’s in need of cleaning, especially if it’s a lighter color.
While there is no escaping elbow grease with this particular task, there are a few things to make it easier.
First, get the right tool for the job. There are several options available, the Funginator Grout Tool, available on Amazon, is an excellent choice. Your brush should fit inside the grout have a comfortable grip.
After getting the right tool, you need to use the right product. There are numerous grout cleaners on the market, but I have never found one that worked better than a mist of bleach and a little soft-scrub.
As a first step, lightly mist the grout you want to clean with something like Clorox-Cleanup, and then squirt a small line of soft scrub on the grout. Make sure your brush is a little wet and then scrub the mixture into your grout for a at least a couple of minutes, then let it sit for at least an hour.
Come back in an hour and wipe your scrubbed area off with a damp cloth and see how the grout looks. If it looks good, you now know how long you have to wait after scrubbing. To make it an easier job, do a small section each day, and in no time you will have a new floor, counter or shower!
